Well, the 2009 Nascar season started yesterday. I wasn't too impressed with Daytona. I don't like rain decided races...I guess Kenseth deserved to win, staying in position for 400 miles. Next weekend is Fontana. The weather is supposed to be nice...we'll see. It also remains to be seen what effect the economy will have on our five trips. Is it time to downsize for 2010? Who knows? So far, everyone seems to be hanging in there, but tough decisions will have to be made when the 2010 renewal notices come. It would certainly help if the tracks rolled back their prices to reflect the reality of the situation. What do you think?

The pix from the Phoenix Nascar race are up tonight at davidmtait.com. Unlike last year's monsoon, the weather was perfect all weekend. The racing was good, as Harvick dominated and won the race. Jimmie Johnson came from 28th to take second and firm up his lead for the Cup. Its still wide open for the final race this weekend in Homestead. Its been a great Nascar season, as I attended Fontana twice, Phoenix twice and Las Vegas once this year...toooo much party...lol. If you enjoy the pix and want a hi-res copy or a print, let me know. We survived four days in Fontana for the Sony HD 500 race. See the pix at davidmtait.com. It was sooooo hot....105 degrees. The generators struggled but we were able to keep one of the trailers cool. Louie set up a misting system which helped greatly. (we sprayed about $30 worth of water every 3-4 hours....lol) The A/V system was the bomb and we partied till 3 AM every night. The Busch race was the best race of the weekend. Kasey swept which made Christina happy! Next stop Phoenix November 12th....cya there!

As some may have noticed, Microssoft recently settled a lawsuit by deactivating support for all ActiveX controls in web pages viewed with Internet Explorer. This basically ruined the menus on all 74 of my web pages....I've spent the last couple of nites replacing all Java Applet menus with "onmouseover" commands...very tedius, but its finally done...Thanks Bill!! Let me know if I missed any (the menu item says "click to activate control" and you have to click it twice to work)

Nascar at California Speedway February 24-26 2006. Larry and I spotted my trailer on Louie's site (Backstretch front row). The view was awesome and the camp was party-ready with satellite TV, XM radio and Larry's extensive collection of blues CDs. It was cold at nite but we had tons of firewood to keep warm. Its was a fun, safe weekend (cept Ty falling off a speeding golfcart...lol) Check out the pix at davidmtait.com. We made lotsa new friends and hope to see everyone at Labor Day.....now onto Vegas!!

Its New Years Eve 2005. Killing time til midnight by tuning up my website, davidmtait.com. I've added a video section with a couple of videos...more to come. It's been a pretty good year so far if I can make it another 45 minutes...lol. Today was a rainy day, spent most of it working on the rental house...I just love working on old plumbing.
